What is RFE (recursive feature elimination)?
Recursive feature elimination (also called RFE): A wrapper method that trains a model, removes the least important feature or features, and repeats on the remaining set until the desired number is reached. Importance comes from coefficients or tree importances.
Recursive feature elimination: an example
Starting with 50 features, remove the weakest 5 each round until 10 remain, retraining every time.
