What is r-precision?
R-precision: Precision measured at a cutoff equal to the number of relevant documents R that exist for the query. Because the cutoff adapts to each query, the precision and recall at that point are equal. It gives a single order-aware figure without choosing k.
R-precision: an example
A query has 8 relevant documents; 5 of the top 8 results are relevant, so R-precision is 5 / 8 = 0.625.
