What is schema on write?
Schema on write: An approach where data must match a predefined structure before it is stored, with rejections or transformations at load time. It gives consistent, trustworthy tables but needs upfront design and slows ingestion of new formats.

A warehouse load fails if the amount column contains text, since the table defines it as a decimal.
