What is stream processing?
Stream processing: Computing on data continuously as individual events arrive, producing results within seconds or less instead of waiting for a full batch. It powers use cases like fraud alerts and live metrics, and requires care over ordering, lateness and state.
Stream processing: an example
A UPI fraud system scores each transaction the moment it is published to a Kafka topic and blocks suspicious ones within a second.
