What is colour jitter?
Colour jitter: An augmentation that randomly changes an image's brightness, contrast, saturation and hue. It makes a model robust to different lighting and camera settings. Values are drawn at random each time, so the model rarely sees the same colours twice.
Colour jitter: an example
Brightness jitter of plus or minus 20% mimics photos taken in shade versus sunlight.
