What is CIFAR-10?
CIFAR-10: A benchmark dataset of 60,000 small 32 x 32 colour images across 10 classes such as aeroplane, cat and truck, with 50,000 for training and 10,000 for testing. It is a quick test bed for new architectures and training tricks.
CIFAR-10: an example
Students compare a plain CNN against ResNet on CIFAR-10 because each run finishes in minutes on one GPU.
