What is QDA (quadratic discriminant analysis)?

Quadratic discriminant analysis (also called QDA): A generative classifier like linear discriminant analysis but allowing every class its own spread, which produces curved quadratic boundaries. It is more flexible but needs more data to estimate each class's covariance.
