What is rejection region?
Rejection region: The set of test statistic values for which the null hypothesis is rejected. Its boundaries are the critical values, and its total probability under the null equals the significance level.
Rejection region: an example
At the 5 percent level in a two-sided z-test, any z below -1.96 or above 1.96 falls in the region.
