What is statistic?
Statistic: A number computed from sample data, such as the sample average or sample proportion. It changes from one sample to the next, and it is used to approximate an unknown population value.
Statistic: an example
In a sample of 50 orders, the average delivery time is 32 minutes; that 32 is a statistic.
