What is refine summarisation?
Refine summarisation: A long-document method that summarises the first chunk, then passes that summary and the next chunk to the model to update it, and repeats through the text. It keeps order and detail but runs sequentially and is slower than map-reduce.
Refine summarisation: an example
Summarise chapter 1, then update the summary with chapter 2, and so on to the end of a book.
