AI engineering glossary · Prompt context engineering
What is reflexion?
Reflexion: A technique in which a model reviews the outcome of its earlier attempt, writes a short verbal lesson about what went wrong, and keeps it in context for the next attempt. It improves results over repeated tries without any weight updates.
Reflexion: an example
After failing a coding test, the model notes 'I forgot the empty-list case' and includes that note when it retries.
