What is Chain-of-Verification?
Chain-of-Verification (also called CoVe): A technique in which a model drafts an answer, plans verification questions about its own claims, answers them independently, and then produces a corrected final answer. It aims to reduce made-up facts in longer text.
Chain-of-Verification: an example
After writing a bio of a cricketer, the model asks 'In which year did he debut?' separately and fixes any mismatch.
