What is Chat completions API?
Chat completions API (also called Chat completions): A common style of language model API where you send a list of role-tagged messages and receive the model's next message. Many providers and open-source servers copy this shape, which makes code easier to switch between them.
Chat completions API: an example
A POST request with model name, a messages list and max_tokens returns a JSON object whose choices hold the reply text.
