What is prompt versioning?
Prompt versioning: Keeping numbered, tracked versions of prompts, usually in source control or a prompt tool, with notes on what changed. It lets teams roll back a bad change and link a quality shift to a specific edit.
Prompt versioning: an example
Prompt 'support-reply' goes from v12 to v13 after adding a refund rule, and a drop in scores is traced to v13.
