What is .npy file?
.npy file (also called np.save, np.load, npz): NumPy's binary file format for saving a single array exactly, including its shape and data type, using np.save and np.load. It is much faster and more compact than text files such as CSV, but is meant for NumPy-to-NumPy exchange, and a related .npz format stores several arrays together.
.npy file: an example
np.save('embeddings.npy', arr) writes a large array to disk; np.load('embeddings.npy') restores it identically.
