What is entity linking?
Entity linking (also called Named entity disambiguation): Connecting a mention of an entity in text to the matching entry in a knowledge base, such as an encyclopaedia page, resolving ambiguity by using the surrounding context. It turns a text span into a precise, unique identity that other systems can use.
Entity linking: an example
"Jaguar" in a car review is linked to the car brand, and in a wildlife article to the animal.
