What is Entity-level F1?
Entity-level F1 (also called Span-level F1, Exact-match entity F1): An evaluation score for entity recognition in which a prediction counts as correct only if both the span boundaries and the type exactly match the gold entity. Precision and recall are computed over entities, not over tokens.
Entity-level F1: an example
Predicting "Bank of India" as ORG when the gold entity is "State Bank of India" counts as one error, not partial credit.
