What is message broker?
Message broker: Software that receives messages from senders and delivers them to receivers, decoupling the two so they need not run at the same time or know each other. It handles routing, buffering and delivery guarantees.
Message broker: an example
An order service hands a message to a broker, which delivers it to the billing service even if billing was briefly offline.
