What is object storage?
Object storage: A storage type that keeps data as whole objects, each with an identifier and metadata, in a flat namespace accessed over an HTTP interface, rather than as blocks or a folder hierarchy. It scales cheaply to petabytes.
Object storage: an example
Photos and Parquet files sit in a bucket, each retrieved by its key, without a real folder tree.
