What is hypervisor?
Hypervisor: Software or firmware that creates and runs virtual machines by dividing a physical machine's CPU, memory and devices among them while keeping them isolated. It is the foundation of most cloud infrastructure.
Hypervisor: an example
A hypervisor on one server lets a Linux VM and a Windows VM run side by side without seeing each other.
