What is inode?
Inode: A record in Unix-style file systems that stores a file's metadata, such as size, owner, permissions and where its data blocks are on disk. The file name is kept separately in the directory and points to the inode.
Inode: an example
Two hard links with different names can point to the same inode, so both show the same content.
