What is IPv6?
IPv6: The newer version of the Internet Protocol, using 128-bit addresses instead of IPv4's 32 bits, giving a vastly larger address space. It was created because the supply of IPv4 addresses is nearly exhausted.
IPv6: an example
An IPv6 address looks like 2001:db8::1, written in hexadecimal groups separated by colons.
