What is concurrency?
Concurrency: The ability of a system to manage several tasks in overlapping time periods, switching among them so all make progress. It does not require simultaneous execution, and is mainly about structuring programs to handle many things at once.
Concurrency: an example
A single-core server can handle many client connections concurrently by interleaving their work.
