What is rebase?
Rebase: Replaying your branch's commits on top of another branch's latest commit, producing new commits with a straight-line history. It tidies history but rewrites it, so it should not be applied to commits others already use.
Rebase: an example
git rebase main on a feature branch puts your commits after the newest main commits.
