What is LOF (local outlier factor)?
Local outlier factor (also called LOF): An anomaly score that compares a point's local density with the densities of its neighbours. A point sitting in a much sparser area than its neighbours gets a score well above 1 and is flagged.
Local outlier factor: an example
A house priced far from similar properties in its own locality scores high even if it is normal for the whole city.
