What is drift?
Drift: A constant average change per step added to a random walk, or the average slope used in a simple forecasting method. Forecasts extend a straight line from the last value using that average change.
Drift: an example
Sales grow on average by Rs 2,000 per month, so the forecast is last value plus 2,000 for each month ahead.
