What is diversity?
Diversity: How different the items in a recommended list are from one another. Often measured as the average pairwise distance between item embeddings or attributes. Higher diversity lowers the risk that all items fail for the same reason.
Diversity: an example
A list with 3 genres among 10 items is more diverse than one with 1 genre.
