What is TRUNCATE?
TRUNCATE: A statement that quickly empties an entire table while keeping its structure. It skips row-by-row logging, so it is much faster than DELETE for large tables, and in many systems it cannot be filtered by condition.
TRUNCATE: an example
TRUNCATE TABLE staging_orders; clears a loading table before the next batch arrives.
