What is 2NF (second normal form)?
Second normal form (also called 2NF): A table is in this form if it satisfies the first form and every non-key column depends on the whole primary key, not just part of a composite key. It removes partial dependencies.
Second normal form: an example
In order_items(order_id, product_id, product_name), product_name depends only on product_id, so it belongs in products.
