What is 1NF (first normal form)?
First normal form (also called 1NF): The first level of normalisation: every column holds a single, indivisible value and every row is unique, with no repeating groups or lists packed in one cell. It is the base every later form builds on.
First normal form: an example
A phone_numbers column containing '98xxx, 99xxx' breaks it; move the numbers to a separate table with one per row.
