What is pgvector?
pgvector: An open-source extension that adds a vector column type and similarity operators to PostgreSQL, with exact search and approximate indexes such as HNSW and IVF. It lets teams keep embeddings next to relational data in one database.
pgvector: an example
A startup stores product rows and their 768-dimension embeddings in one Postgres table and queries by cosine distance with SQL.
