What is arithmetic operator?
Arithmetic operator: An operator that performs a mathematical calculation: + addition, - subtraction, * multiplication, / true division, // floor division, % modulo and ** exponentiation. Division with / always returns a float, even when the result is whole.
Arithmetic operator: an example
7 / 2 gives 3.5, 7 // 2 gives 3, 7 % 2 gives 1 and 2 ** 3 gives 8.
