What is uniform distribution?
Uniform distribution: A distribution in which every value in a range is equally likely. For a continuous range from a to b, the density is constant at 1 / (b - a). Random number generators usually produce it first.
Uniform distribution: an example
A random number between 0 and 1 is uniform. A fair die is discrete uniform over 1 to 6.
