What is transition matrix?
Transition matrix: A square table in which entry (i, j) gives the probability of moving from state i to state j in one step of a Markov chain. Each row sums to 1, and multiplying it by itself gives multi-step transitions.
Transition matrix: an example
If a customer active this month stays active with probability 0.9 and churns with 0.1, that forms one row of the table.
