What is frequentist probability?
Frequentist probability: An interpretation in which the probability of an event is the long-run fraction of times it occurs when the same experiment is repeated many times. It ties probability to observable frequencies and underlies most classical statistical testing.
Frequentist probability: an example
If 1,000 loan applicants with a certain profile are tracked and 60 default, the estimated default probability is 60 / 1000 = 0.06.
