What is joint probability?
Joint probability: The probability that two or more events both occur, written P(A and B). It describes how likely a particular combination of values is across several variables and is the starting point for marginal and conditional probabilities.
Joint probability: an example
If 12% of shoppers are both first-time visitors and use a coupon, the joint probability of 'first-time and coupon' is 0.12.
