What is astype?
astype: A pandas method that converts a column to a different data type, such as text to integer or float to category. It is used after loading messy files where numbers arrive as strings, and it raises an error if a value cannot be converted.
astype: an example
df['pincode'] = df['pincode'].astype(str) keeps leading zeros safe by treating pincodes as text.
