What is spelling correction?
Spelling correction (also called Spell checking): Detecting misspelt words and suggesting the intended ones, usually by generating candidates a small number of edits away and choosing the one a language model finds most probable in context.
Spelling correction: an example
"recieve" is corrected to "receive" because it is one swap away and far more frequent in the corpus.
