What is TF (term frequency)?
Term frequency (also called TF): How often a term appears in one document, either as a raw count or scaled by document length. It measures how strongly a document is about a term, but common words score high everywhere unless weighted by rarity.
Term frequency: an example
The word "cricket" appears 6 times in a 200-word article, giving a term frequency of 6 / 200 = 0.03.
