What is outlier?
Outlier: A data point that lies unusually far from the rest. It may be a recording error or a genuine rare event, and it can distort averages and fitted lines, so it must be examined before it is removed or kept.
Outlier: an example
In a salary column mostly between Rs 3 and 12 lakh, an entry of Rs 4 crore is an outlier.
