What is parametric model?
Parametric model: A model that summarises the data in a fixed number of parameters chosen before seeing data, no matter how many training examples there are. It is compact and quick to use but makes strong assumptions about the form of the relationship.
Parametric model: an example
Linear regression with 5 features always has 6 parameters, whether it is trained on 100 or 100,000 rows.
