What is scalar multiplication?
Scalar multiplication: Multiplying every component of a vector or matrix by the same number. It stretches or shrinks the arrow, and a negative number also flips its direction without changing the line it lies on.
Scalar multiplication: an example
2.5 * [4, -2] = [10, -5].
