What is DDIM (denoising diffusion implicit model)?
Denoising diffusion implicit model (also called DDIM): A deterministic sampling method (DDIM) for diffusion models trained in the usual way. It skips steps in the reverse process, so good images can be produced in tens of steps instead of hundreds, and the same starting noise always gives the same output, which enables smooth interpolation.
Denoising diffusion implicit model: an example
A model trained with 1000 steps is sampled with DDIM in 50 steps, cutting generation time roughly twentyfold with slightly lower fidelity.
