What is correlation filter?
Correlation filter: A feature selection step that removes one of each pair of features whose correlation exceeds a threshold, such as 0.9, because they carry nearly the same information. It reduces redundancy and multicollinearity.
Correlation filter: an example
Height in cm and height in inches have correlation 1.0, so only one is kept.
