What is dunn index?
Dunn index: An internal clustering measure equal to the smallest distance between points in different clusters divided by the largest distance across points within a single cluster. Higher values indicate compact, well-separated clusters. It is sensitive to outliers because it depends on extreme distances.
Dunn index: an example
If clusters are at least 6 units apart but the widest cluster spans 3 units, the Dunn index is 6 / 3 = 2.
