What is tool-call accuracy?
Tool-call accuracy (also called function-calling accuracy): A metric for how often a model selects the correct tool and supplies correct, well-formed arguments when a task needs external functions or APIs. Errors here, such as a wrong parameter or a missing field, are a leading cause of agent failure.
Tool-call accuracy: an example
For 100 test requests, the model picks the right function in 94 and fills all arguments correctly in 88, so tool-call accuracy is 88 percent.
