What is SHA (commit hash)?
Commit hash (also called SHA, Commit SHA): A 40-character hexadecimal identifier computed from a commit's contents and metadata that uniquely names it. Any change to the commit produces a different one. Git accepts short prefixes, usually seven characters, to refer to them.
