What is power rule?
Power rule: A differentiation rule stating that the derivative of x raised to a constant power n is n times x raised to n - 1. It is the workhorse for differentiating polynomials and is applied term by term.
Power rule: an example
d/dx of x^5 = 5x^4, and d/dx of (3x^2 + 7x) = 6x + 7.
