What is antiderivative?
Antiderivative (also called Indefinite integral): A function whose derivative is a given function. It is determined only up to an added constant, because constants vanish when differentiated. Finding one is the main way to evaluate exact integrals.
Antiderivative: an example
An antiderivative of 3x^2 is x^3, since d/dx of x^3 = 3x^2; x^3 + 10 works equally well.
