What is automation bias?
Automation bias: The human tendency to over-trust suggestions from an automated system and to accept them even when other evidence points the other way. In AI products it means reviewers stop checking outputs carefully, so errors slip through despite a human being nominally in the loop.
Automation bias: an example
A loan officer approves an AI's recommended rejection without reading the file, even though the applicant's documents clearly show stable income.
